Senior Software Engineer and engineering lead. I own the architecture, the roadmap and the release, and I still write the hard parts in Swift and TypeScript.
01 · Leadership
Since 2022 I have led engineering teams across three products: setting technical direction, protecting quality, and keeping delivery predictable, while remaining hands-on in the codebase.
Ran cross-disciplinary teams across iOS, backend, web, design and ML. Owned sprint planning in Jira, scope negotiation with stakeholders, and delivery against committed release dates.
Set the architecture that the team builds on: MVVM boundaries, modularisation, dependency and state strategy, then wrote the reference implementation so the pattern was obvious to follow.
Defined review standards, testing expectations and CI gates. Reviews are where I coach: clear reasoning, small diffs, and no silent merges of code nobody understands.
Paired with junior and mid engineers through their first production releases, turning App Store submissions, crash triage and profiling from folklore into a repeatable routine.
Translated product intent into technical specs and technical reality back into plain language for founders, designers and business stakeholders in English and Arabic.
With Hertshe I owned the whole thing: product decisions, engineering, store submissions and post-launch operations on both iOS and Android. Leadership without anyone to escalate to.
A lead's job is to make good work repeatable: a clear architecture, a short feedback loop, and reviews that teach. Everything after that is delivery.

I am a mobile lead and product engineer from Alexandria, Egypt. I care about two things: teams that ship without drama, and products that feel fast and native, whether they run on a phone or in a browser.
I have led three mobile teams, shipped my own product as a founder, and worked remotely with companies in Pakistan, Lebanon and Egypt. I build the websites around my apps too, in React and TypeScript on Cloudflare, so I can own a product from the first architecture sketch to the release notes, on every surface it lives on.

The problem
Buying authentic beauty products locally meant slow delivery, scattered brands and no confidence the product was real.

Multi-vendor pet marketplace · every species, one cart
The problem
Pet owners had to hop between scattered stores for food, medicine and supplies, with no way to compare prices or know what was really in stock.

Outcome
One cross-platform codebase for iOS and Android, fully localized in Arabic and English, with the product site live at grainoz.com.
Peer-to-peer EV charging marketplace · Egypt's first
The problem
Egypt's EV drivers had almost nowhere public to charge, while private chargers sat idle in driveways and garages all day.
What I built
Outcome
Shipped from first commit to both stores, holding a 5.0 App Store rating, and still live today.
Also in the portfolio
Leading iOS at Millennium Systems Design. AVFoundation processing and preview pipelines, smart scene detection, background removal and auto-captioning with the ML team, released through automated Bitrise CI/CD.
Built the Galsie smart home app in Swift and SwiftUI: device onboarding, control surfaces and real-time device state across the home, backed by Firebase Auth, Firestore sync and Cloud Functions.
Designed and built all three product websites end to end. Hertshe and Grainoz run on React, TypeScript, Vite and Tailwind with Framer Motion, served from Cloudflare Workers with serverless API routes; Voltyks is a fast static site on the same platform.
A mobile app that sends chest medical images to a deep learning service for detection, segmentation and classification, built to reduce the diagnostic load on doctors and radiologists.
